Chinchilla Minimap Updated to v2.6.3

A couple of errors managed to slip past me in the last couple of updates. I apologise for this inconvenience. It happens to the best and worst of us, but the good news is most if not all of the bugs have been squashed and Chinchilla Minimap should be problem free once more.

As a bonus, Chinchilla Minimap v2.6.3 is now compatible with the upcoming Patch 6.0 and Warlords of Draenor beta test realms. It is not yet possible to hide or move the new Garrison Report button but the code is in place and will be “switched on” in a future release.

The update is available for download from Curse and WoWinterface. As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you encounter any problems.

Chinchilla Minimap Updated to v2.6.1

Patch 6.0 and the Warlords of Draenor expansion pack are getting ever closer but there is still time to keep everything working on the current release.

Chinchilla Minimap has been updated to v2.6.1, reverting several controversial changes in v2.6. Namely, the QuestTracker module has returned and the “invisible button” logic has been changed back to the previous “hidden button” logic. Any QuestTracker options that were moved to the Appearance module in v2.6 have been moved back to the QuestTracker module.

Be aware that Chinchilla v2.6.1 will cause errors if you install it into the Warlords of Draenor beta or the Public Test Realms. A new update to Chinchilla will be made available once Patch 6.0 reaches normal live servers.

The new version of Chinchilla is available for download from either Curse or WoWinterface. As always, if you find any errors or want to provide feedback, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Chinchilla Minimap Updated to Version 2.6

After being left in “alpha” status on Curse since Patch 5.2 came out, Chinchilla Minimap has finally been given a new public release version.

While I haven’t yet been able to finish working on everything that I’d like to, this release includes several important fixes to bugs introduced with Patch 5.4.

There have also been a number of fairly large changes behind the scenes, some of which I felt were needed but may prove controversial.

This includes the deletion of the QuestTracker module. This module was deemed “out of scope” of Chinchilla’s development goals and has been removed, but the options to show/hide the quest tracker’s “Objectives” header text and collapse button proved to be popular features and these have been brought back as options in the Appearance module instead.

You can download the latest version of Chinchilla from either Curse or WoWinterface. As always, if you find any errors or want to provide feedback, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

First Few Updates for Patch 5.2

Patch 5.2 “The Thunder King” for World of Warcraft was released three weeks ago and Patch 5.3 “Escalation” has already appeared on the public test realms!

I have been a very busy little bee since the release of Patch 5.2, buzzing around the new content and stinging any addon errors that cropped up.

Several of my projects have received a number of updates over the weeks including TradeSkillInfo, Chinchilla Minimap, SignOn and BottleCap. The website itself also got a new coat of paint and plenty of tweaks have been made behind the scenes.

Praise

The latest update is the kind that makes me smile. Such a great addon but tends to slow down WoW, and now you’re working on cleaning it up. :)
