A little thing that I discovered recently is the World of Warcraft addon oQueue, which allows users to create “pre-made” groups for Battlegrounds, Arenas, Raids and the like.
I have known of its existence for a long time but only recently installed it after it became available on Curse. I have to say, even though I have not yet created or joined a group using it I am a fan of the idea.
The only problem of course, is that accessing oQueue’s user interface largely depends on its minimap button. I am ok with this, but I’d prefer to have a “broker object” that I can attach to Bazooka and hide it from the screen when I don’t need it.
Thus, Broker oQueue was born.
This is an incredibly light-weight addon (only 30 lines of code!) that does one thing and does it well. Its sole purpose is to emulate oQueue’s minimap button, which allows me to hide the minimap button and keep my World of Warcraft user interface as clean as possible.
I have made Broker oQueue available for public download in the hopes that other users also find it useful. It is available to download right now from Curse.
You will need to install oQueue as well as a “broker display” addon for Broker oQueue to work correctly. I personally use Bazooka, but there are plenty of alternatives available including Chocolate Bar and Titan Panel. Use whichever one you like!
If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
I hope you enjoy using Broker oQueue!
